• The Bengal Technical Institute, later renamed as College of Engineering and Technology under the National Council of Education, Bengal, was founded in 1906
  
  The Alumni Association was founded in 1921
  
  This is the first Alumni Association in India
  
  The Old Boys’ Home was constructed in 1941
   

Primary Objectives of the Association are:

 

• To foster a spirit of comradeship and to promote co-operation and mutual help amongst the ex-students of the National Council of Education, Bengal and Jadavpur University.
  
  To foster the growth of healthy fellow-feelings, to promote common interest and to maintain a feeling of unity amongst the ex-students.
  
  To keep the Association in touch with the National Council of Education, Bengal and the Jadavpur University as far as practicable and to render all possible help to the said Institutions in their endeavors and objects.
  
  To organize and develop the activities of the ex-students of the National Council of Education and the Jadavpur University as far as practicable on matters such as social, economic, educational and philanthropic.
